We understand that making the decision to move into a care home is difficult and it is very important to feel confident that you have made the right choice.
Our purpose-built home is set in private grounds with all rooms offering an attractive view of our well maintained gardens. Our rooms are tastefully decorated and all have en-suite facilities. We encourage our residents to bring their own belongings to create a home from home feel.
Regular Mass is held in our tranquil on-site chapel, which is also available for quiet prayer and contemplation.
St Catherine’s is very much a part of the wider community and we often invite local parishioners to join us for coffee and prayer group.
St Catherine’s Nursing Home is rated CQC ‘Good’ with OUTSTANDING care. Our dedicated staff team go the extra mile to ensure all aspects of our residents’ wellbeing are met and our two, full-time activities’ co-ordinators provide a range of stimulating, gentle activities.
We welcome friends and families and our comfortable family room, with its own kitchen area, is available for residents and their visitors to enjoy small celebrations or private time together.
A visiting hairdresser offers weekly appointments in our salon and we provide a variety of complementary therapies to ensure the continued health, happiness and welfare of our residents.

“I was first inspired by my Grandmother to work with older people at the age of 12 when I started helping at the local nursing home…and from there it all began!
I feel so lucky to go to work every day to do a job that I don’t just enjoy, but I absolutely love. The happiest part of my day is speaking with the residents and supporting my staff to become the best they can possibly be.
Together with my staff teams, we understand that making the decision to move into a care home is difficult and that feeling you have made the right choice is incredibly important. Each of the homes holds a special place in my heart for very different reasons and it is very important to find out what would make it special for you when choosing your new home.
