From tots to seniors, age is no barrier when it comes to making the most of Easter fun.
Residents in our St Catherine’s nursing home in Newcastle love getting together for craft sessions and when they’re combined with Easter treats and seasonal decorations to colour it definitely marks the start of a happy Easter.
“Our eggs are better than Faberge,” laughed Selma as she put the finishing touches to her Easter design.
Meanwhile, seven-month-old Lucy enjoyed a session in our Green sensory room at the Alan Shearer Activity Centre where staff couldn’t wait to present her with one of their chocolate eggs.
“Lucy is always smiling and giggling,” said recreation assistant, Yvonne. “She makes our day when she’s here, so we thought we’d make her day with an Easter surprise.”
Let’s hope mum and dad get to share, too.
